Review of Summer Heat by Carolyn Rosewood

Title: Summer Heat (MM) $3.50 - Author(s) : Alex Carreras Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. Categories: Alternative (M/M or F/F) , Contemporary , Western/Cowboys This reviewer's rating: 4 - Good The author does a great job with the well-written sexual tension, and the coming to terms with a relationship between two men who knew each other as boys. Now that they're grown, one is out and the other is still struggling with his sexuality. Both are trying to find their place in the world. Set all this on a farm and you have the perfect hot summer ambiance. What I liked about this book was the tenderness of the story and the way the characters grew by the end of the book. Tough to pull off with such a short word count. Not entirely sure I believed them falling in love, however. It came too quickly and a bit out of the blue, but with a higher word count it could have been more fully developed, as the basics we...

Author Lea Barrymire

I had the chance to interview author Lea Barrymire about her latest release from SirenBookstrand.                                           http://www.bookstrand.com/maggies-abduction Q. Tell me a little bit about your latest release. My debut novel, Maggie’s Abduction, came out April 19 th from Siren Publishing. It’s a science-fiction/ futuristic erotic romance about Maggie, who… you guessed it, gets abducted. She is taken from Earth and given to Raharan, a feline alien, as a distraction to keep him happy. Here’s the blurb: Maggie's night couldn't get much worse. She’d been dragged by her skinnier, and cuter, best friend to a bar to meet a blind date. Then, she’s drugged and wakes to find herself on a ship as a sexual submissive to a massive, feline humanoid. After bein...

A teaser

Here is a teaser for my soon to be released, Spanish Heat from SirenBookstrand.      After receiving a breakup text from his partner, Jaxson Mitchell was devastated. But when he finally received a phone call explaining that he was moving out…and moving in with their personal trainer, Sergei, while waiting to board a plane for Spain with his boss, Dr. Chase Cameron, everything he thought he knew, he didn’t.       Under normal circumstances, a trip to Barcelona, Spain would be exciting even if it was for work, but why with his boss? And why did he have to look so good in his scrubs?       With no resolution, Jaxson boards the plane wishing for the best. But in the land of sangria, sandy beaches, and hot, sultry men, be careful what you wish for because it might just come true.

Back to the Farm [Heat 3] for publication.

I am so damn happy to announce that yesterday I received the email stating that my publisher has agreed to publish Summer Heat: Back to the Farm [Heat 3]. So get ready to  catch up with Hunter Cross and Travis Mitchell and the rest of the cast from Summer Heat. I've also introduced two new characters, brothers, Derek and Jared Johnson. They are hot and beefy and full of attitude, just what I like in hell raising brothers.

First week in April.

I'm having my first cup of coffee of the day, thinking about my upcoming week. I'm anxious because I have a lot going on. Final edits for Spanish Heat should be arriving any minute, I'm working to submit Heat 3 which is not an easy task because there is a lot of work that goes into that, and I've starting characterization and plotting for my next book. It can be exhausting but exhilarating, too.  I've always dreamed of this moment, the moment I was overwhelmed with being a writer. No matter how busy, I will get all these things accomplished this week, and then some. I hope you have a great and productive week. And remember, Spanish Heat is coming soon from Siren-Bookstrand.
