GABRIELLE EVANS

author, Gabrielle Evans, grew up in
a small town in southern Oklahoma. We are talking one red light that may or may
not work depending on the day of the week. She married her high school
sweetheart and the rest is pretty much history. They have two very active boys

she parks her car in central Indiana, but who knows what tomorrow will bring.
SEIZE THE NIGHT [ENCHANTED 2]
BLURB:[Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, M/M, public exhibition, werewolves, bondage, sex toys, HEA]
Left disfigured at the hands of a madman, Emery Nicholson has basically given up on life. Nothing brings him happiness anymore, and the only man he’s ever really cared about is in love with someone else.
Gaius has always harbored a fondness for mortals. He knows it’s forbidden to interact with them, but when a force beyond his control chases him from his home, he’ll find that life in the mortal realm is more complicated than he imagined.
Between Gaius falling on him and being ambushed by a pack of hellhounds, Emery isn’t having the best day. Add the fact that he’s set to shift into the same kind of monster on the full moon, and he’s barely holding it together.
There’s something special about Gaius that won’t let Emery just walk away, though. Through all the chaos and uncertainty, can the Fate give Emery a reason to live again?
EXCERPT
“Mmm,” Emery hummed in his ear. “Good morning, sugar. Did you sleep
well?”
Despite spending the night outside on the ground, Gaius couldn’t
remember the last time he’d slept so well. Emery was the only person he’d ever
spent the night with, but he didn’t imagine that most people were quite as warm
as his mate. It was like cuddling up to a two-hundred-pound furnace that
occasionally snored.
He’d keep that little detail to himself, though. “I did. How about you?
Was it as bad as you thought it would be?”
“Yes and no.” Rolling Gaius to his back, Emery pinned his shoulders to
the sleeping bag beneath him. “We can talk about it later.”
His hard, naked cock pressed insistently against Gaius’s hip and
slicked the taut skin with pre-cum. Gaius’s body came alive all at once, aching
for his lover’s touch. However, he was very aware that they were in the middle
of the woods without a toothbrush, and he could only imagine what Emery had
eaten the night before. So when he felt the tickle of Emery’s hair against his
neck, he turned his head to the side so that those plush lips met his cheek
instead of his mouth.
“Hey,” Emery pouted. “What gives?”
“No kissing.”
“I require kissing,” Emery argued. “I need to be wooed.”
Gaius snorted and giggled at the playful attitude. “Not happening.
There will be biting, spanking, hair pulling, and a nice, hard fuck. There will
be no kissing, though.” He stuck his nose in the air and sniffed. “I’m a
gentleman after all.”
Emery went very still and didn’t say anything for a long time. When he
did speak, however, it wasn’t at all what Gaius had been expecting. “Do you
mean it?”
“Yes? No? Wait. Mean what?” Crap, it was too early in the morning, and
his brain was still sluggish.
“All the rough stuff,” Emery elaborated. “Did you mean it?”
Ah, now he understood. “I might be little, and I might be blind, but
I’m not fragile. I won’t break.” He could see how Emery might be reluctant
considering his small size and lack of experience, but Gaius knew what he
wanted. “I like the slow and gentle stuff we’ve done, but I want more. I can
feel you holding back.” Arching his hips, he rubbed against his mate and moaned
uninhibitedly. “Don’t.”
Emery didn’t say anything, but when he rolled away, Gaius wanted to
scream in frustration. It wasn’t like he was asking the man to whip him raw or
beat him bloody. He just didn’t want to be treated like he was made of spun
glass with a coat of wet paint.
“Emery, I—”
“Not here. I’m not saying no. I’m just saying not here.”
Pushing up on his elbows with a huff, Gaius cocked his head to the side
and scowled. “And just why not? What’s wrong with right here?” He was a nymph
and a shifter, and as such, he had little concern for things like nudity or
voyeurism. If the others in the group wanted to watch, well, he’d give them a
show to remember.
“For one, we don’t have supplies,” Emery argued.
“Here,” Jade called from somewhere off to the side, and a moment later,
something hard smacked Gaius in the back of the head. “Shit! Sorry!”
Rubbing at his skull with one hand, Gaius twisted and felt around on the
bedroll behind him until his fingers encountered a small, plastic bottle. The
bump to the head forgotten, he snatched it up and presented it to Emery with a
triumphant smile. “Problem solved.”
“Thank you, Jade,” Emery grumbled. There was so much sarcasm in his
voice that, had it been a tranquilizer, it would have dropped an elephant in
two seconds flat. “I can’t do it.”
Gaius still didn’t understand the problem. He didn’t care if people
watched him. In fact, he found the prospect arousing as hell. Maybe Emery was
shy. It was the only thing that made sense, but he hadn’t reacted so negatively
when Jade had stumbled upon that blow job in the pickup.
“What’s wrong?” Just the thought of their friends watching and coveting
what belonged to him had Gaius vibrating with lust and desire. He never would
have guessed that he was such an exhibitionist, but the way his cock was
swelling and aching seemed to say otherwise.
“I don’t know how to explain it,” Emery answered. “I’m feeling
possessive, and maybe even a little jealous. Normally, I’m all about having an
audience, but I don’t think I can handle everyone seeing you naked right now.”
“It’s the hellhound instincts riding you,” Q explained. “No matter the
breed, all of us sharing bodies with a beast get a little territorial. It won’t
ever go away, but it should fade a bit when you claim him.”
“Claim?”
“Don’t worry,” Q said with a chuckle. “Your hound knows what to do.”
That was all well and good, and Gaius was happy that Emery was getting
the answers he needed. However, he wanted his mate’s dick in his ass, and he
wanted it to happen five minutes ago. “Well, either fuck me now, or we need to
get out of here.”
Emery wasn’t the only one with a beast trying to claw his way to the
surface. Apparently, his phoenix was high on life after a night of freedom, and
being much more vocal that usual. The bird also recognized Emery as their mate,
and if the fire coursing through Gaius’s veins was any indication, the phoenix
wasn’t happy that they hadn’t marked their man yet.
“Knock it off,” Emery growled.
Gaius wasn’t sure if it was the profanity or his insistence that Emery
make a move, but the tone of his lover’s voice sent a shiver across the small
of his back, and his dick jerked hard at the raw, masculine quality of it.
Maybe it was a combination of both. Deciding to test it out, he pulled his
shirt off over his head, fell back against the bedroll, and cupped his aching
cock.
“Fuck me.”
“Gaius…”
He popped the button open easily, and slid the zipper down to part the
denim hiding his naked length. “Fuck me.”
Another growl, this one longer and more guttural, echoed through the
small clearing, and strong, capable fingers bit into Gaius’s hips, jerking him
into a sitting position. “What are you doing?” Emery demanded.
“I’m trying to get you to fuck me.”
Emery flipped him over and pinned him to the ground as he made quick
work of removing the remainder of Gaius’s clothing. “Ass in the air,” his mate
demanded.
Trembling as he bit into the blanket to muffle his moans, Gaius pulled
his knees under him and arched his back to put his backside on clear display.
The hand wrapped around the back of his neck, holding him immobile, and the
hard, dripping cock rubbing against his crease was making him delirious with
lust, but he held as still as possible, eager to see what Emery would do next.
“You are far too beautiful to talk like a common whore,” Emery stated
with authority right before delivering a stinging swat to Gaius’s ass cheek. “I
don’t ever want to hear those words come out of your mouth again.” Smack. Smack. “Am I understood?”
In the time since he’d met Emery, Gaius had never caught even a hint
that this side of the man existed. Yes, Emery was always a dominant force in a
room, and he was usually the one to step up and take charge of a situation.
Now, however, he was pure alpha, Dominant with a capital D, and by the time the fifth swat landed on his ass, Gaius was
panting like he’d just ran a marathon.
Sweat beaded along his neck and back, his heart thundered in his chest,
and his dick was so hard that it was almost painful. His eyes rolled back in
his head, his muscles quivered, and each new strike to his burning skin sent
heat radiating straight to his balls. Knowing that everyone was watching him
receive his punishment added a healthy dose of eroticism, and Gaius struggled
to beat back his orgasm.
“Maybe you didn’t hear me,” Emery said in a harsh whisper. His fingers
tangled in Gaius’s hair, and his head was pulled back on his shoulders at the
same time Emery’s other hand landed on his flesh again. “Do you understand,
Gaius?”
Understand what? His brain had completely shut down, and he’d already
forgotten the question. However, he was coherent enough to realize that his
mate required a response, and he just hoped that he was meant to answer in the
affirmative. “Yes,” he half moaned, half whimpered.
“Yes, what?”
“Yes, I understand.”
The fingers in his hair loosened their hold, and Emery stroked the
locks from Gaius’s crown to the nape of his neck. “Good, baby,” he praised, and
Gaius liked that almost as much as he liked the man’s commanding tone.
His mate’s rough palm smoothed over his heated flesh, soothing the deep
ache and superficial burn. “Please,” Gaius pleaded, afraid his dick would snap
in two if he didn’t get some relief soon.
The S was still hissing
through his lips when two lubed fingers parted his cheeks and pushed into his
clenching hole. Emery wasn’t gentle about it, either, and the burn of his
stretching muscles had Gaius fisting his hands in the sleeping bag as he cried
out to the forest. While his brain said it should hurt, told him he needed to
slow things down, his body simply begged for more.
CONTEST:
In Seize the Night, Gaius is
blind. Losing my sight is one of my greatest personal fears. I’m also afraid of
cows. (Don’t judge me.)
What is your biggest personal fear? Not the concern that something might
happen to your children, spouse, family, etc. but a fear you would have even if
you lived alone with no friends.
Tell me your biggest (or silliest) fear in the
comments below for a chance to win Books 1 and 2 in the Enchanted Series:
Questions:
How long have you
been writing professionally?
I started writing articles and essays when I was in high
school for newspapers, journals, and magazines. I don’t think I’d really call
it a career, though.

writing?
Off the top of your
head, which are your three favorite words?

Questions:
How long have you been writing professionally?
I’ve been writing professionally for the past year and some
odd months now. It’s been a wild ride
and I have been thoroughly enjoying myself. J
What inspires your writing?
Inspiration strikes at the oddest moments. It can come from
pretty much any source, whether it’s a phone conversation, a planned adventure,
or something mundane turned adventure like a runaway lawn mower. People
especially tend to be inspirations. The best characters I’ve developed have
come from the interesting personalities of people around me.
Who is your favorite author? Or do you have a favorite book?
[or both if you’d prefer]
I have so many favorite authors that if I listed them all,
you’d be reading pages. I can however,
tell you that the favorite book on my shelf right now is Lover at Last by JR
Ward. It’s been a book I’ve been waiting for for a long time and it didn’t
disappoint.
What are your future writing goals?
My future writing goals include a fantastic new series with
my fellow Siren author Anitra Lynn McLeod that I’m really looking forward to
everyone reading. It’s a fun sci-fi
series that includes some really sexy stories from the combined madness of
Anitra and I.
Plotter or Pantser?
I plot a little bit and pants a lot of it. Once the general
rules of the world are established I just sort of let my characters run amok as
they please. This gets us into some interesting scrapes, most of which are
thoroughly enjoyable.
Where is your favorite dream destination [for at least a
month or so] for alone time and writing?
I would absolutely love to disappear to a little cottage in
Scotland. I love Britain and to be able to hole up somewhere and write there
would definitely be a dream come true.
Rapid Round:
Off the top of your head, which are your three favorite
words?
Burgeoning, Rippling, and Vivacious. Do with that what you
will.
Sexiest man, living
or dead?
Jensen Ackles. Hands down. All I can say about the man is, yum.
Boxer? Briefs? None at all?
Commando, all the way. Layers create delays.
Which book did you most enjoy writing?
That’s a hard one. I’d have to say I really enjoyed writing
Available[Marked 3]. Bradley was such a trip and Ryan was so yummy. All the
juicy BDSM scenes didn’t hurt the enjoyment either. :P
Thanks for having me,
Alex!

After the collapse of civilization, Ager Munez finds work as
an agent, helping customers with their zombie insurance needs. He’s a bit of a
workaholic and a romantic at heart, but the only romance he’s been experiencing
lately involves watching his bosses in tight-fitting jeans on casual Fridays.
Jim and Jason Tanner agree they want a third in their
relationship, but have never been able to find the right man. When Ager begins
working at Deadzone, they know that they’ve found their match. He’s smart,
funny, and adorable in a way that should be illegal in at least four sectors.
When a zombie outbreak in Sector 7 requires field
representatives, the two know the perfect candidate for the job. Little does
Ager know that this mission will test him in ways he’s never been tested and
land him not one but two hot men in his bed and his heart.
Relay for Life
[Deadzone 2]
Andrew Ainsley is a Deadzone sponsored runner participating
in the most intense cross country race of his life. However, a double marathon
through the wilds outside the safety zones will bring trouble he didn’t
anticipate.
Marcel Carter has been in love with Andrew since he started
running for Deadzone five years previously but never had the courage to ask him
out. It isn’t until Andrew is lost that he realizes he’s been wasting time.
Matthew Gibson volunteers frequently for dangerous field
missions, leaving little time for real relationships. He thinks he’s ready to
put that life behind him until his cousin, Brooklyn, asks him to help rescue
Andrew. When the three meet, sparks fly, and Matthew thinks he’s finally found
what he’s been missing.
As they fight to survive zombies unlike any they’ve faced
before and uncover dangerous government conspiracies, they’ll have to determine
if their newfound love is real or if it only exists in the dead zone.
Coming April 20th!
